Emily Dickinson, Grief is a Mouse in the library
Pain is a mouse -
choose the cavity in his chest so
to nest - and evades
hunting -
Pain is a thief - quick jump in -
tends ear - to capture the sound of that vast darkness
-
that has dragged his life - back -
Pain is a juggler - daring in performing - because
if you hesitate - the eye of there
misses her bruises - Have one or three -
Pain is a gourmet - moderate in luxury -
pain has not improved language -
first to speak - Burn in the streets -
his ashes - they will probably
- if they refuse - as you know - not even torture them now
caverebbe a syllable.
